Arriving in Cannes: Speakers' Lounge & Onsite Requests
The lounge is located inside the Palais - you will be provided with a map of how to access this space. It is an exclusive space for speakers to relax, have hair and make-up done, grab a coffee at the refreshments station or use the tech drop-in if you have any last-minute slides to add to your presentation before you attend your technical check.
On arrival, please collect your festival pass from the main registration at the speaker's desk. This is located past the Palais in the Gare Maritime. Someone can collect your pass on your behalf but their details will be noted. You can't access the speakers' lounge without a pass - the lounge is the meeting point before your tech check and talk dependent on the stage you are speaking on.
Speakers' Lounge
All speakers and any speaker guests should collect their passes from main registration. This is located at the ‘Gare Maritime’ (entrée Mediterranee entrance).
This year, the collection of passes and the Speakers' Lounge (where speakers are met) are in different locations. We recommend that passes are collected well in advance of your tech check and speaking engagements.
The Speakers’ Lounge is open from 8am-6pm Sunday-Friday and is a private area for speakers only. Speakers have the option of using the lounge throughout the week, whether this is to catch up on emails or simply for a bit of quiet time away from all the hustle and bustle of the Festival. Guests and entourage are only entitled to access on the days of their speaker’s technical check and talk.
There are refreshments available in the lounge, a hair and make-up studio (pre-booked appointments only) and a technical desk should you need any last minute advice before your technical check.
You will be met by a member of the team, at the lounge, before your technical check and depending on stage, also before your talk. A map of the Speakers' Lounge and main registration will be shared with you nearer the time.
Onsite Requests
Green Rooms
If you are hosting a talk on the Lumiere stage, we have green rooms available backstage.
Please note, green rooms are very limited and must be pre-booked.
Green rooms in the Palais are not as comfortable as the Speakers’ Lounge but do provide a private space for speakers prior to the start of their talk.
If you wish to reserve a green room, contact the Content Operations team.
Riders
If you have a high-profile speaker who may have rider requests, please inform the Content Operations team as soon as possible. It is important to note that not all refreshment/food brands are available in Cannes - we will source the requested items where possible, and seek approval on possible replacements if needed.
We will liaise directly with you and invoice accordingly.
Cars
Talk hosts are responsible for their own transport. All cars need to go via the Speakers' Lounge and for security purposes the following information of each vehicle must be provided to the Content Operations team: Car license plate number (registration number) Driver's name Car model and make Estimated time of arrival If given a car pass, this must be placed in the driver’s window, and be in a printed format, not shown electronically. Please let us know if you are arriving by car before 17 June or if you need help arranging a transfer.
