recently announced that he would be moving on from Restaurant Brands International, after six years at the helm of Burger King. His impressive tenure saw the business take home 144 trophies. Fernando Machado became Global Chief Marketing Officer, Restaurant Brands International, in 2020, extending his CMO leadership to sister RBI chains Popeyes and Tim Hortons. Under his leadership, Burger King was awarded Creative Marketer of the Year at Cannes Lions in 2017 and was named Cannes Lions Creative Brand of the Year in 2019.
