LIONS
Education
LIONS Education aims to add practical skills to individuals' creative toolkits, supporting careers with a learning by doing approach.
We invite the LIONS community to shape the next generation of creatives by sharing your passion, knowledge and expertise. This is your opportunity to give something back to an industry you love and inspire the creatives of tomorrow. For all of our Academies, there are three ways to get involved.
1
Submit a content session for any Academy. Typically, 45-60 minutes, they must be interactive, providing inspiration with clear learning takeaways from the session
2
Nominate yourself (or a colleague) to be a coach onsite at Cannes Lions 2023
3
Host a session at Cannes Lions in your location:
- Breakfast with your thought-leaders from 08:30 onwards
- Lunch & learn with your thought-leaders
- Evening sundowner to reflect, talk and sip a cocktail
LIONS Academies
With a mission to unlock the creative potential of the brightest talent, LIONS Academies have been designed for those who are curious, aspire to take their career to the next level, become better leaders and look for gaining a fresh perspective on the industry landscape.
The LIONS Academies help rising young talent fast-track their careers and become the next generation of industry leaders. They combine inspiring classroom sessions with world-class speakers, hands-on learning and coaching from industry legends.
“This week of education has been more valuable than the four years I had at University, hands down.”’ Darrien Case, Creative Academy 2022 alumnus
A six-day agenda is curated specifically for the audience. Your session could be a fireside chat with the Academy Dean, a Q&A with your thought-leaders, a hands-on workshop or a networking meet & greet over breakfast or drinks. But don’t be restricted to these formats; be innovative and think how to bring your ideas, teaching and session to life in a more inventive style. However you want to get involved, we would love to hear from you via the submission form.

See It Be It
Gender representation in the marketing and advertising industry shapes the perception of gender in society. That's why we are committed to fair and equal representation both in front of and behind the camera.
We have been partnering with the Geena Davis Institute in Gender in Media since 2015 to study the imbalanced representation of gender (but also race/ethnicity, LGBTQ+, disability, age, and body size) in advertising. And the work of the 3% Movement shows that women are heavily outnumbered by men in senior creative positions across the world. This is why we created the See It Be It programme in 2014. Since launch, over 100 women from 31 countries have participated in our week-long programme.
The See It Be It programme is designed to accelerate women into senior creative roles. The 15 selected participants each receive a VIP Cannes Lions experience, with access to mentoring and learning with some of the leading lights in our industry.
We invite the LIONS community to get involved with SIBI.
- Propose a content session for the classroom. These should be around 45-60 minutes, and must be interactive and inspiring, with clear takeaways that participants can apply in their roles
- Nominate yourself (or a colleague) to be a mentor onsite at Cannes Lions 2023
- Host a session at Cannes Lions in your location: a. Breakfast with your thought-leaders from 08:30 onwards b. Lunch & learn with your thought-leaders c. Evening sundowner to reflect, talk and sip a cocktail
