We are heavily invested in the production of your talk being seamless and to the highest standard.
Please make sure you read and fill out the technical tab on the Speaker Portal in full, so we can understand all aspects of your talk. Whether you think it is simple and straightforward or complex – we need to know.
We strongly encourage fun, interactive elements happening on stage. However, it is important we are made aware of anything technically demanding. Let the Content Operations team know your ideas early on, so we can work with you.
‘Technically demanding’ can cover aspects such as Q&A throughout, a demo or any props on stage, additional equipment required, live streaming, strong internet connections etc. In previous years talks have included: a full orchestra on stage (Mastercard), live puppets (Sesame Street), cars on stage (Formula 1), use of Gobo lighting (Getty Images), Facebook live stream of session (SAWA), robot demos (R/GA), an interactive football pitch (We Are Social) and live streaming to a theatre in Africa (Canvas Worldwide).
You will have a technical check the day before your talk and it is during this time that you will hand over your presentation. If you require an onstage rehearsal (for technically demanding talks only) then we need to know in advance so that we can arrange this.
Details of the AV Package provided will be shared with you and is also available on the Speaker Portal. For anything extra, you must let us know and this will come at the cost of the talk host.
